This Activity is being chosen because I miss my grandma and Rosewood is where she used to live and I like being around the elderly, they are really nice, fun, and funny. My dud dies at Rosewood will be entertaining the residents and helping Shanon out with the activities. Volunteering at Rosewood will challenged me because it requires a great deal of patience because you are required to answer the same questions over and over again and just be patient with the residents. This activity will personally effect me because it is where my grandma used to live and it will also effect me because I will be connecting with people and they might not remember me week from week but I know that I will remember these people for a long time.
The goals that I have that i hope to acheive are To get to know and build trust with the residents, Learn how to care of the elderly and have greater patience. I know that i will be able to moitor my progress with getting to know and built trust withthe residents because i will know more about every resident and they will know more about me. I will be able to mointor my education about the elderly because i will know more about them and i will be able to monitor my progress with my patience by noticing how long i can take being asked the same questions over and over again. I don't know how i will know when i have reached my goals, my goals are ongoing you can always gain more trust, knowledge, and patience.
This Activity will meet 4 of the learning objectives, I will be facing new chalanges becasue i have never really helped out with elderly people just my grandparents and close family friends, I will have to work collabertly with others becasue i am working with people, it will force me to consider the ethical implications because the people at Rosewood are different places with different beleifes and different backgrounds, and I will develop new skills because I will be doing something new. This activity will benefit others because i am working with older people and you can see the joy when one is around the elderly they respond really well to younger people.

While Voulenteering for Rosewood I learned a lot and did a lot. Every day I gave Hand Massages which really helped the people there because they needed their individual attention. Another thing that I did a lot was I played Games. There was one lady there who really liked to play Tic-Tac-Toe, but she moved very slowly so it took a lot of patience but it was decently worth it because people their said that she would ask for me to come and play games with her even when I wasn't there so she remembered me. One difficult thing that I had to do was call BINGO I am not very loud so the Residents had a hard time hearing me every time that id did it. On one of the last days when I called BINGO a resident helped me out because she also called it out on the other side of the room.

While Voulenteering At Rosewood, my main duty was spending time with the residents and giving them attention. Often while I was there I would give Hand Massages, Play Games, Call bingo, or just talk to the residents. It felt really good helping out the residents becasue you get a feeling that you know that you are appericeated being there not only from the Residents I got that but also the other people working there. I really liked this activity and it meant a lot to me going back to where my grandma used to live and seeing everyone that i would see every time that i would go over there. The activity i know benefited others because that was one of the goals to help out the residents in anyway possible and just spend time with them. One problem that I had to overcome was that calling BINGO for me is hard because I am no where near loud enough for the residents that are hard of hearing, but on the last day that I called BINGO another one of the Residents helped me out by calling it again and she was sitting on the other side of the room. The main thing that I learned was patience and that can be applied to everything in life.
Voulenteering at Rosewood Measured up really well with the 8 learning objectives, because I took on new challenges I have never worked with elderly people before besides my grandma. I worked collaboratively with others because I was helping others out so i had to work with them. I considered ethical implication of my actions because something that you do to help out a resident might be taken another way by someone who has different beliefs than you do. And I developed new skills because I have never worked with the elderly before. this also fits in with global importance because around the world the elderly need to be helped
